If you’re looking to make stuffed chicken breast recipes, and you choose to make the bacon and cheese stuffed chicken breast, what you’re going to need to change in the below cheesy stuffed chicken breast recipe is the bacon itself. The best-tasting bacon and cheese stuffed chicken breast will need about 100g bacon instead of the mushrooms, and since we want a type of cheese that’s melting easily, do a mozzarella stuffed chicken breast with bacon.
The process will change just in two steps. You will need to fill the chicken with mozzarella. If it’s fresh mozzarella, make sure to squeeze out as much of its liquid as you can, before filling the chicken. Then you should wrap the filled chicken breasts with bacon, and everything else is the same as in the recipe below!

Since the bacon one is literally one ingredient in plus, you can also make the same recipe with bacon and make a spinach and goat cheese stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon. When it comes to stuffed chicken breast recipes, the options you’ve got for the ingredients is up to your creativity. You can fill it also with just cheese, but to make it tastier, make a three cheese stuffed chicken breast recipe.
For this, you can use mozzarella, parmesan, and cheddar. Or cheddar, gouda, and Grana Padano for a softer taste. Alternatively, if you like blue cheese, you can use parmesan, Gorgonzola cheese, and Gouda. In each way, it’s going to taste amazing!
I’ll now do a step back to the spinach and goat cheese stuffed chicken breast. Goat cheese is a great option, and you’d need the same amount as at any other type of cheese, then you’d need for 4 serving about 200g of fresh spinach. The trick with this one is that you must cook the spinach first, that’s about 10 minutes. You chop the spinach then and stuff the chicken with that and the goat cheese. Everything else is just like in the below recipe!
Ham and cheese stuffed chicken breast
When it comes to cheesy stuffed chicken breast recipes, if I’m not in the mood for mushrooms, the other great option I just love is ham and cheese stuffed chicken breast. What you have to change if you use ham instead of cheese is to get about 100-150g of cooked ham and fill the chicken breasts with that and cheese. For cheese options I always love gouda the most, but other types of cheese, like mozzarella are great too!

- 4 half Chicken breasts
- 100 g Champignon Mushrooms
- 100 g Cheese
- Salt, Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- 4 tbsp Olive Oil
- What you need to do, for 4 servings (obviously the more people the more breasts are needed) is to take a sharp knife, and cut a pocket from the upper part of the breast.
- Try to make the picket as large as possible, so more filling goes in. Spice the outside with salt, pepper, and optionally even garlic powder.
- Fine slice the mushroom, and toast them on 2 tbs of olive oil. Shred the cheese, and use 80% of it for filling the breasts.
- Make sure to put inside as much cheese that you still have space for the mushroom. Then, when the mushroom is toasted, fill the chicken with them.
- Use a toothpick to close the pockets, so the cheese won't flow out when it's melting. In the pan, you've used for the mushrooms, put some more olive oil, heat up, and toast the chicken breasts on each side until it gets white.
- Then, place them on baking paper, top it with a few drops of Olive oil, so it doesn't dry out, and pepper after taste, and place it covered into a pre-heated oven at 200°C.
- Leave it for about 25-30 minutes. Remove the cover, add on top the leftover cheese, and put it back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
