Is there one place for the best breakfast in London that is better than the mass of the restaurants available in the city? What are the top ten breakfast places in London? Is there ever such a thing as the perfect breakfast? I’m a big foodie, as you might already know. Since I am half French, half Moroccan, and live between Rome and London, there’s a lot of food cultures that mix up in my stomach and linger on my mind for the longest time.

The truth is, there are many more options than you could ever imagine to find the best breakfast in London. It does depend a lot on where you are, as you won’t be eating the same foods in East London as you will in Notting Hill or Leicester Square.

The best places to get breakfast in London are also very much dependent on what type of food you like eating and what your specific needs are. Vegan, halal, vegetarian foods are all available in London. If you’re looking for a list of options for the best places to get breakfast in London, well, you’ve come to the right place.

1. Top Ten Breakfast Places in London: Brother Marcus

Brother Marcus serves all-day brunch and cocktails. Created by three best friends, the menu revolves around flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean cuisine twisted to fit the London food scene.

With its simple but delicious menu and chilled atmosphere, the restaurant has become popular for both weekend brunches and weekday lunches. As one of the best places to get breakfast in London, it’s no wonder this spot made the list.

Brother Marcus Spitalfields Address: 2 Crispin Pl, Whitechapel, London E1 6DW

2. Duck and Waffle

Chicken and waffles? Yes, please. As one of the best places to get breakfast in London, this small restaurant serves up some tasty treats. Arguably the best breakfast in London and the most famous, the English Breakfast available here is classic.

With its beautiful view inside The Salesforce Tower (formerly The Heron Tower) on the 40th floor, it’s also one of the most unique spots for breakfast. Need somewhere to get breakfast in London on Christmas day? This is the spot.

This bakery serves breakfast all day, every day. One of the best healthy breakfast places in London – with some not-so-healthy pastries, Gail’s is a great place to get breakfast after a good workout at nearby The London Hilton on Park Lane (2 minutes away).

There are many addresses for this bakery chain in London, and I’d say my favorite ones are in Soho, and near Waterloo Station. My recommendation? The cinnamon buns, anytime.

Gail’s Bakery Soho Address: 128 Wardour St, London W1F 8ZL

5. Top ten Breakfast Places in London: Rules Restaurant

One of the great places for breakfast in London, the Rules restaurant is seriously old school and one of the top places for breakfast in London. You can’t go wrong with any of their English breakfasts.

Make sure to reserve a table in advance, though, as it’s often fully booked – I guess that’s the downside of being the oldest and one of the most refined food places in London.

Rules Covent Garden Address: 34-35 Maiden Ln, London WC2E 7LB

6. The Delaunay

Be prepared for daily queues outside the front door before you get breakfast at this place near Covent Garden. The Delaunay is worth the wait, however, and will leave you filled with all the quality foods you need to start your day.

I personally love myself a good Full English Breakfast and I’d say, there’s no better place than a high-end restaurant like the Delaunay. If you go on the weekend, do take a stroll around Southbank or Leicester Square afterward. That will leave you feeling fulfilled and satisfied with life before noon strikes.

The Delaunay London Address: 55 Aldwych, London WC2B 4BB

So how about some English dishes for brunch or lunch? Head over to this place near Trafalgar Square for lunch options like their fresh, healthy kedgeree. Their brunch dishes are great for those who don’t eat meat; they usually have a few lunch options for vegans as well.

The most amazing thing, though, is how secret and hidden the Café in the Crypt is. I love hidden gems and secret spots in London, so you can understand pretty easily why I love this café.

8. The Breakfast Club

This breakfast restaurant is always busy because of their healthy breakfast places in London and delicious American-style breakfasts. The Breakfast Club has quite a few addresses scattered around London, and the ones in Soho and near Borough Market are my favorites.

Make sure to reserve a table in advance as this is one of the great places for breakfast in London, and there’s just always a full line of people waiting to get their tremendously exquisite pancakes.

If you’re in Soho, then you’re near Chinatown – I strongly suggest keeping some room in your stomach to get some incredible pho or dumplings from one of the best Asian restaurants in London for lunch.
